Woodwork
I am a retired Physics teacher. In the early 1980’s I discovered that I could have a little holiday at home by having a woodworking project going on in the shed. Anything that required right angles was too hard so my stuff is usually curvy!
I find that I take particular joy in:
-
Choosing and sculpting shapes.
-
Solving the problems associated with the build, and
-
Making something that really works.
This violin has an Australian Cedar top, a Tasmanian Myrtle back and neck Queensland Maple sides and a Jarrah fingerboard. The light trim is Huon Pine.
I have had a violin player test it and she said it had a good sound.
