Doreen Backway has been creating for as long as she can remember. Doreen’s skills are ever evolving. Specialising in original one of a kind art dolls - hand sculpted from polymer clay, needle felting, intricate face painting, detailed costuming and accessories.
Doreen is a member of several creative groups and sells her figurines online. Over the past 8 years, she has taught at various mixed media groups throughout Australia and finds the process of sharing her knowledge very rewarding.
Doreen’s main passion is in pushing the boundaries of her genre and conjuring up new fantasy pieces that enliven and captivate the imagination of all.
