This two session workshop is offered twice:
- Thursday 7th & 14th May,
10.30am - 1.00pm
- Sunday 21st & 28th June,
10.00am-12.30pm
- Cost: $175 pp (this is for either the two Sunday or two Thursday sessions) 5hours in total
Join experience multi-media artist, and Kapi gallery artist Rain White as she guides you through an introduction to the basics of acrylic painting over two sessions.
Class 1 covers creating confidence colour mixing using cool and warm primaries and tonal gradients with mark making experiments and use of the brush.
Class 2 covers making a vocabulary chart of painting techniques and texture effects to refer to. Introduction to impasto and flow medium. Begin a simple still life painting using your knowledge from the two sessions.
Suitable for those new to the medium.
Materials provided.
However art supplies are sold at Kapi Art Space and it is recommended that you purchase some materials if you would like to continue at home.

Introduction to Acrylics - with Rain White
You do not have to purchase all of these materials as materials are provided.
However, you may wish to purchase your own so that you can continue painting at home. These are the materials that will be used:
A3 Cartridge paper, could be sketchbook
Range of brush types and sizes at hand flat and pointed round in a small medium and wide
Warm and cool acrylic paint colours ie;
warm yellow (chrome), cool yellow (lemon), warm red (cadmium), cool red (alizarin crimson), warm blue (ultramarine), cool blue (pthalo), smaller amounts of yellow ochre, burnt umber, burnt sienna, black and white.
