PAINTING FLOWERS IN THE GARDEN Sunday, OCTOBER 27 10 am -4:30 pm (1/2 hr lunch) Botanical Illustration Using Watercolours & Coloured pencils
TUTOR: Tao Lee
In this workshop you will learn how to draw & paint flowers from life using coloured pencils & watercolour paints. First, you will explore the foundational skills of gestural drawing to gain an understanding of the ‘essence’ of the flowers you are observing.
Tonal rendering and basic application of colour washes will assist you to create your own botanical artworks.
Spend a relaxing day in the Dandenong Ranges sketching & painting flowers in the beautiful garden at Kapi Art Space.
The atmospheric garden includes a spectacular view of the Dandenong Ranges with the Yarra Ranges in the distance.
(weather permitting; note- we will work indoors if the weather is rainy, using fresh flowers to draw & paint)
Workshop notes, drawing paper & a sheet of watercolour paper are included in the workshop cost.
BYO Lunch & Drink.
