About Kapi Art Space
Kapi Art Space is a gallery and teaching studio based in the Yarra Ranges encouraging supportive and inclusive arts-based activities and events. Its focus is building resilience, capacity, and well-being in individuals and the community through education, connection, and creativity.
Kapi is the Pitjantjatjara word for ‘water’
Kapi Art Space began its journey in Heather Bradbury's home studio (photo realistic artist, mentor, and teacher) and has now grown into both an art gallery and creative studio and offers a place for people to be refreshed and renewed through the celebration of creativity.
It is situated near the top of the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria. Kapi aims to be a place of refreshing and refueling for all who are thirsty. The space is designed to serve artists, communities, and individuals who walk through our doors.
With stunning views across the Yarra Valley, Kapi offers 3 beautiful gallery spaces, an art studio, and a beautiful garden that can be used for live events and workshops. We also offer creative classes and workshops.
There are informal spaces for members to write and create. Whether you want to enjoy the views, and the artwork, or meet up with other artists to be inspired and encouraged you are welcome to soak in the atmosphere, feel connected and even take a piece of art home with you.
The community can engage in many ways:
Browsing and buying from the beautiful art in the gallery space
Participating in our yearly mental health exhibition
Becoming an artist, hiring space to sell your work
Enjoy creative workshops/classes & programs
Become a volunteer
Hire workspace and keep engaged with the friendly Kapi community
